Match Preview

Cardiff - Bridgend

Cardiff entertain Bridgend Ravens in the Challenge Cup tonight (Wed 19:30) at the BT Sport Cardiff Arms Park and make 13 changes to the side that played at the weekend.

The two ‘survivors’ are both in the second row where Ben Thomas and Jack Davies continue their partnership. The front row sees a new face in Hywel Jones. Joe Page starts at hooker, Gavin Nash completes the front three. Johnathan Edwards comes into the back row along with Jake Conway and Joe Gaughan.

It’s all change in the backs with Tom Slater forming a new partnership with debutant Oliver Jenkins, the fly-half having played against Cardiff a few weeks ago for Clwb Rygbi. Lloyd Chalke and Paul Smith start for the first time together in the centre.

On the bench there is a welcome return for Club captain Luke Ford along with three new faces, David Walsh, Lee Swindlehurst and Huw Thomas.
