Match Preview

Cardiff - Llanelli

Cardiff entertain Llanelli at the Arms Park this weekend in a game that is the main feature of the Cardiff RFC fun day.

The event kicks off at 1:00 with entertainment for the junior members including face painting and a bouncy castle. After the game there will be a male voice choir and the player of the month awards in the club.

The main attraction though is the game itself with the Blue & Blacks looking to extend their winning run to four games. Cardiff games in the Premiership against Llanelli have traditionally been entertaining attacking games with last season’s game producing 70 points.

Head Coach Steve law said of last week’s win at Bedwas "it was a game we won but we won it the ugly way, we will take that but are looking for a lot more consistency of performance. We are at home this week and you have to look at winning your home games in this league if you want to be competitive."

"Training this week has been very competitive and we are looking to create healthy competition both on and off the field. There are some new names in the team for Saturday as we are taking a look at some new combinations as we look at our options. That of course will never be easy against a side like Llanelli, but we need to put in a performance again this week and we will be looking to play some attacking rugby on hopefully a drier day than last week"
