Match Report

Aberavon 29 Cardiff 15

The Blue & Blacks put up a much-improved performance before succumbing to top-three team Aberavon at the Talbot Athletic Ground.

Wing Elgan Jones scored his 10th try of the season and flanker Wayne Murphy added another as Cardiff kept in touch with the Wizards.

With the scores locked at 12-all Cardiff could feel well pleased with the early stages but in the second half the home side pulled away to maintain their title challenge.
