Cross Keys secured a second successive win at the Arms Park, outscoring their hosts by four tries to two. The early stages belonged to the home side though. The advantage was increased shortly after when scrum half Hopkins shot through a hole that opened up in the defence on the twenty-two to score under the posts, Patchell added the extras. Keys responded with their second try just before half time after poor defence from the home side, Nathan Trowbridge being put clear for a simple try in the corner to bring them back into the game.

After the break it was all one way traffic. Dragons fly half Matthew Jones and Patchell traded penalties before former Cardiff prop Richard Cornock found himself at the end of an overlap to score Keys third. The home side retook the lead through another Patchell penalty but the visitors secured their bonus point when Nash crossed for his second after a series of pick a drives.
