Cardiff gained a bonus point win against Llanelli at Parc-Y-Scarlets as they ran in five second half tries.
But the first half didn't go as well. In the first ten minutes Llanelli looked as if they would run away with the game as they played with pace and width. They were rewarded with a Jordan Williams penalty mid way through the half, and that lead was increased when Kyle Evans crossed in the corner. Williams was wide with the conversion as he was with three other penalty attempts before Harry Davies got the Blue & Blacks on the board with a kick of his own. Williams was to end the half with his second penalty to send Llanelli in 11-3 up at the break.
The second half was a different story. Both sides tried to run the ball at every occasion. Cardiff were first to score when they moved the ball wide. Harry Davies on the receiving end of a pass from Will Rees Hole. Stuart Morris landed a Llanelli penalty before Cardiff took complete control. As the game became more open the visitors benefited as slick off loading and straight running brought two tries for the wings. Ellis Wyn Benham scored the first, Davies added a difficult touch line conversion. Opposite wing Ceri Young extended the lead in the opposite corner before Llanelli got one back. But not the be denied the forwards got in on the act to seal the bonus point. A catch a drive was rumbled towards the line from ten metres out but it was stopped just short. Rhys Williams was on hand though to bash his way over.
When Will Rhys Hole intercepted a pass near the Llanelli line to score under the posts the game was all but over. The home side did earn a bonus point of their own with a try in the last minute but it was the Blue & Blacks day as they triumphed 30-23
