Cardiff RFC Squad 2012 / 13 The Centres

This week we look at the centres that are in Cardiff RFC’s squad for the 2012/13 season

From last season’s squad the following players have been retained

Shaun Powell

Shaun has been appointed captain for the 12/13 season, taking over from Macauley Cook. ‘Curly’ played 19 times last season and has scored 6 tries in his Blue & Black career.

Height: 178cm

Weight:92Kg

Richard Smith

Smithy was part of the Wales 7s squad during last season ending it as Wales’ leading tournament try scorer. A strong mid-field runner that the Blue & Blacks would like to see more of this season.

DOB: 08/11/1987

Height: 190cm

Weight: 98Kg

Cory Allen

Cory showed what he is capable of in several games last season, scoring a fabulous try to win the Neath game at the death. Part of the Wales U20s team that finished 3rd in the recent IRB World championships.

DOB: 11/02/1993

Height: 192cm

Weight: 95Kg

And the new boys for this season are

Rhys Howell

A hard running centre who joins from Bedwas.

DOB: 07/11/1990

Height: 179cm

Weight: 85Kg

Max Woodward

Max was part of the Cardiff University team that won the Varsity match last season. Part of the Pontypool squad last year.

DOB: 27/10/1990

 

Height: 183cm

Weight:92Kg

Sonny Driscoll

Sonny is a local boy who last season was playing for St Peters.

DOB: 13/10/1987

Height: 178cm

Weight: 95Kg
