Cardiff RFC are saddened to hear of the passing of Lloyd H Williams. Lloyd, one of the famous Williams brothers to play for the Blue & Blacks was born in October 1933. He played 310 games for Cardiff over 12 seasons, scoring 21 tries.

Lloyd was Cardiff captain for two seasons (1960/61 & 61/62) and gained 13 Welsh caps.

Williams first played for the Athletic in 1951 before making his full debut against Nantes in September 1952. After his playing days were over he spent 22 years on the Cardiff RFC Committee and was installed in the first Cardiff RFC Hall Of Fame.

Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this sad time
