George Dobson was a Welsh rugby union forward who played club rugby for Cardiff and international rugby for Wales.

Although only playing in only one international, it was part of the 1990 Wales Home Nations Championship winning season, making Dobson a Triple Crown winning player.

Dobson's family moved to Wales just before his birth in 1873, his brother Tom Dobson was born two years earlier. George followed his brother in joining Cardiff RFC and he played 106 games for the club between 1893/94 and 1900/01,scoring twenty tries. His only Welsh cap was against Scotland in 1900.

Dobson went on to play for Rhondda team, Llwynpia, again following his brother. He suffered from long periods of ill heath dying in his late 40s in 1917.
