George Parsons was a dual Welsh dual-code international rugby union and professional rugby league player of the 1940s and 50s who played for Abertillery, Cardiff and Newport RFC (twice) and Newbridge also international rugby for Wales.

He went North to played Rugby League for St Helens, Rochdale, and Salford and international rugby league for Great Brittain and Wales RL. Parsons worked for Pilkington Glass Factory, and was a Magistrate and a Liberal party councillor.  He passed away in November 2009 aged 83.
