Bev Davies

Position: Flyhalf

Davies played a number of games for Cardiff Rags after returning from France where he had played fly-half for Racing Club de Nice from 1960 until 1962 during which time he had a Welsh Trial.

Early in his rugby career he played for the Welsh Secondary Schools against the Welsh Youth in 1959. Then he received a further six Secondary Schools Caps and was Captain in 1960, 1961 and 1962.

Whilst at school (Neath Grammar School) he played a number of games for Neath and then a number of games for Llanelly, including the 1963 match against the NZ All Blacks.

At Cardiff he was fortunate to play in 1969 against the Springboks (Barry John was injured with a cracked rib).

He played six games for the First XV, making his debut against Pontypool on first October 1969.
