George Rosser Evans, born 1867 in Cwmbach, Aberare was an international rugby union half back who played club rugby for Cardiff and international rugby for

Wales. He was educated at Llandovery College.

Rosser is notable for facing the New Zealand Maoris, the first southern hemisphere rugby team,when they lost to Cardiff in 1988. During his four seasons at

Cardiff, he played 52 matches, scoring 16 tries over four seasons 1887/88 till 1892/93.

His first and only Welsh cap was a game against Scotland at Raeburn Place in the 1889 Home Nations Championship.
