Reginald "Reggie" Arthur Gibbs [1882-1938] was born in Cardiff and played club rugby for Penarth and Cardiff RFC playing on the wing.


He attended Queen's College, Taunton. Reggie was caped for Wales 16 times winning his first cap against Scotland in 1906. He scored 17 tries playing for his country.


Whilst playing for Cardiff  he played 130 matches scoring 90 tries. Once scoring four tries in one match. He represented the Barbarians against Moseley in 1910/11 scoring 30 points. Reginald Arthur Gibbs died in Cardiff 28 November 1938 [aged 56]
