Douglas Marsden-Jones was born in Swansea, played rugby union for Cardiff and London Welsh.

He gained two Welsh caps, making his debut in 1921 against England,his second and final cap came three years later against New Zealand in 1924. Toured with British Isles team to South Africa in 1924,playing two test matches.

After leaving Cardiff RFC, he continued his rugby career with London Welsh captaining the team for serveral seasons. In 1952 he was awarded the CBE. He passed away in London in 1955.

 

Note - some records show the name as Marsden Douglas Jones. Research shows this to be the same person.
