Wickham Powell was a dual coded international rugby union and professional rugby league playerwho played rugby union for Wales and at club level was captain of Cardiff RFC

He played 26 games for Cardiff during 1919/20, scoring 17 tries.
He gained 4 Welsh caps in 1920 playing against England, Scotland, Ireland and France.
He later transferred to play rugby league and joined Rochdale Hornets 1920/22 and won a rugby league cap playing for other nationalities against England.
He returned to Wales in 1922 and took up bowls, before becoming licensee of the Cardiff Arms Hotel in Quay Street.

One of three brothers to play for Cardiff RFC. He passed away in March 1961 aged 68.
