Ernest Gwyn Richards born December 1905 was a Welsh rugby union and professional rugby league player.  He played International rugby for Wales and club rugby for Cardiff RFC, playing as a fly-half.

He played 44 first team games for Cardiff between 1925/26 and 1926/27,scoring 6 tries.
Gained only 1 Welsh cap against Scotland in 1927.He then turned professional and joined Huddersfield RL. Ernest passed away in December 1985 aged 79.
