William John Spiller born in St Fagans, Cardiff was a Welsh rugby union player and cricketer. He gained ten Welsh caps between 1910 and 1913. He was also the first Glamorgan cricketer to score a 100 runs,1921 season.

In club rugby he played 184 games for Cardiff between 1905 and 1914, He also played for Pontypridd RFC. Spiller died in the village of his birth a month short of his 84th birthday.
