Thomas Williams born 1860 played for Cardiff and Pontypridd RFC and international rugby for Wales. He played 53 games for Cardiff RFC then went on to Join Pontypridd.
Whilst at Pontypridd, he gained his one and only Welsh cap when he was chosen to play against Ireland.

After retiring from the game, he became heavily involved in the Welsh Rugby Union becoming a national selector in 1901 He was one of the founders of Llwynpia RFC in 1891, Secretary of the Rhondda, Ferndale and Aberdare league.  Life president of WRU.

Williams was also responsible for singing the Welsh National anthem in a match in 1905. The first time a National anthem had been played at a sporting event.
Williams was also a rugby union referee. He died in Febuary 1913
