R W (Bobby) Windsor born 1948 in Newport Gwent and nicknamed the ‘Duke’. He played 4 games for Cardiff RFC in 1970/71 - the first against Pontypool, the side with which he became synonymous.

A steel worker by trade, Windsor actually started his rugby career as a back, playing at Fullback or Fly Half but became famous as a Hooker.

He started out at Brynglas and Cross Keys before joining Pontypool where he became part of the legendary Pontypool front row. Made his debut for Wales against Australia in 1973 at the age of 27. Selected for 2 British Lions tours in 1974 and 1977.
