Graham Davies played on the Wing for Cardiff 1986 – 87, his rugby highlight was at schoolboy level for the Welsh Senior Schoolboys in the 1978 - 79 World Sevens where they played England in the final. After a fine tournament Davies was the tournament’s top try scorer.
The first team to show an interest in him was Neath who invited him to play whilst he was still a student at Borough Road College in London and playing for Public School Wanderers. Following this he got invited to join Swansea where he played with Richard Moriarty, Roger Blyth, David Richards and Mark Wyatt. He stopped playing rugby around 1984 as his business (Fitness Club) was booming and he needed to teach on weekends.
A couple of years later he became a PE Teacher at Radyr Comprehensive and trained with the Rags. He quickly found himself competing for first team slots with Gerald Cordle. Davies had a good run of consecutive games and was joint top try scorer in the league when he got injured in an away against London Welsh which ended his career.
