Johnny Rodgers was a Welsh Rugby Union and Professional Rugby League player of the 1910s & 20s. He was born in Abergwynd in October 1892 and later lived in Tondu. He played for Bridgend and then moved to Cardiff in season 1911/12 and according to club records made 35 First team appearances.

On 1st March 1913 at the age of 20 he moved North and signed for Huddersfield followed by Wakefield in 1925. He gained 3 Welsh Rugby League caps and 7 for Great Britain between 1914 -1922 .When he retired from the game, he continued to live in Huddersfield and became a Licensee.He died 26th July 1958 aged 65 .
