Frank Whitcombe was a Welsh Rugby Union and professional Rugby league player of the 1930s and 40s. He grew up in the Grangetown area of Cardiff and was educated at Ninian Park School.
Frank played for Cardiff 1931 -1933 before joining London Welsh in 1934, he then turned Professional in 1935 and played for Broughton Rangers then Bradford Northern.
He gained 14 Welsh RL Caps and 2 for Great Britain. Frank died of Pneumonia in January 1958 aged 44.
